The Consumer Review Lab provides opportunities to work on a larger assignment involving multiple classes. By focusing on calling methods and using the control structures of selection and iteration, we get practice that directly relates to the “Methods and Control Structures” free-response question type.
Data are values. Knowledge is what we gain from studying data.
This lab is designed to derive knowledge about a topic of interest by examining a set of freely available data from the Web. In order to gain knowledge from data in this lab, we will pose a question, search for a data set on that topic, and then process that data to determine the answer to the question.

Writing methods that modify digital pictures is much easier than you think. In writing these methods, mastery of traversing two-dimensional arrays of integers or objects, will be a must. Nested for-loops should get the job done, along with some perseverance.
Encryption is the KEY.
Steganography is the practice of concealing messages or information within other non-secret text or data. Because images can be represented as 2D arrays of pixels, it makes sense to use images as our non-secret data.
Guess Who?
Create an application to play a version of the game "Celebrity". The game is a charades-like game where each player adds information about several “celebrities” to a pool.
After scowering the internet for resources, best practices, frameworks, and other various materials, I developed this site to help tackle the ideas of AP CSA as well as providing the resources necessary to complete the tasks of the course. "Spaced-Based Repetition" has been proven to be an effective means of studying by numerous research papers. Adding technology and flashcards to the equation gave birth to "Brainscapes." This software/app helps track our studying and suggests flashcards that we need help with more frequently. When crunching for finals and AP exams we take advantage of the the most valuable resource we have, time.
